Watch it, then do it.

Fitting a support vest correctly is easier to watch than to read about — particularly when you are doing it one-handed, sore, a few days after surgery. These are the videos patients and ward staff ask for most.

Nothing loads until you press play, so the page stays fast. Prefer to read? The sizing guide covers measuring and fitting in writing.

Fitting it right matters

The patented cushions have to run parallel to the sternum, one either side of the wound — that alignment is what produces the anterior–posterior support the device was designed for. A vest worn loose or twisted does not do the job.

One practical tip from patients: separate the straps before you start, so the hook-and-loop does not catch on itself while you are still sore.

  • Measure below the armpits, above the nipple line — sizing guide
  • Cushions parallel to the sternum, one either side of the wound
  • Buckles firm enough to feel like a steady hug, never constricting
  • Worn day and night for six to eight weeks, unless your surgeon advises otherwise
  • Washed at home up to 60°C on a gentle cycle — never hotter
