Before you order
Vest size is not shirt size.
The vest works by holding the sternum still. A vest that is too large slips and stops supporting; one that is too small is uncomfortable over a fresh wound. Two minutes with a tape measure is worth getting right — and once the vacuum pack is opened, the vest cannot be exchanged.

How to measure

Stand relaxed
Upright, arms down, breathing normally. Don’t hold a deep breath — it inflates the number.

Tape below the armpits
Run a soft tape right around the chest, just below the armpits, level all the way around.

Never below the nipple line
This is the most common mistake. Dropping the tape lower will give you the wrong size.

Between sizes? Size down
Snug is what makes it work. If you land between two sizes, take the smaller one.

Fitting it correctly
The patented cushions must run parallel to the sternum, one either side of the wound — that alignment is what produces the anterior–posterior support. Buckles are then tightened until the vest feels like a firm, even hug: solid, not constricting.
A practical tip from patients: separate the straps before you start, so the hook-and-loop doesn’t catch on itself while you are still sore.
