Australian experience to-date

After an initial trial period, Posthorax is currently being used at St George Private Hospital which is located in Sydney NSW. Dr Horton and is team are mainly using the Posthorax in the postoperative care high of risk patients (BMI over 30, Diabetics, COPD, smokers with unstable sternum, re-operations & elderly) who have undergone a CABG via median sternotomy. Please contact Dr Horton or the Unit Nursing Manager (Sandy Cameron) or the Physiotherpist (Sarah Mellen) for feedback on their experiences.

Posthorax support brace is currently under going an informal review at St George Public Hospital. For further information please contact Jeremy on 0475 522651.

The Prince Alfred Public Hospital also use Posthorax on selected patients and we expect additional private Hospitals such Royal North Shore to formally commence usage shortly . We expect the Australian experience to replicate that of the UK, Europe and USA.
